DUBAI – Major airports across the UAE issued urgent passenger advisories on Saturday after a temporary partial closure of national airspace triggered widespread flight disruptions.
Authorities emphasised that the measures were precautionary and aimed at ensuring operational safety.
The alerts covered key hubs in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, where travellers were told to verify flight status before heading to the airport.
Dubai alert
Dubai Airports urged passengers not to travel to Dubai International (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC) until confirming their flight status.
Dubai Airports confirms that all flight operations at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) are suspended until further notice.

Officials said some flights at both airports have been cancelled or delayed due to the temporary partial closure of UAE airspace, implemented as an exceptional precautionary measure amid evolving regional security developments.
The authority stressed that maintaining the highest standards of operational safety and passenger wellbeing remains its priority.

Sharjah Airport also warned that several flights had been cancelled or delayed.

The airport strongly encouraged passengers to contact their airlines directly to verify schedules before travelling, noting that the disruptions were linked to precautionary airspace restrictions.
Abu Dhabi update
Abu Dhabi Airports confirmed that some inbound and outbound services at Zayed International Airport (AUH) may face delays, diversions or cancellations.
